Description
The Vecchio Marone is an exceptional value for a rich, smooth, black cherry fruit driven Amarone. Amarone della Valpolicella is a rich Italian dry red wine and it is nothing less than sensational. It shows ripe cherry and raisin notes, with an intriguing earthiness and remarkable persistence in the finish.
In Italian, the name Amarone literally means “The Great Bitter”, originally, this was to distinguish it from the Recioto produced in the same region, which is sweeter in taste.
