The country of Cork is located on the southern coast of Ireland. There is also the small town of Skibbereen with the river Ilen.

In 2007, three good friends got together and built the West Cork Distillery – a small independent whiskey distillery.

This bottling has a high malt content with a 66:33 ratio of malted to unmalted barley. It is aged for 5 years in first fill bourbon casks.

The whiskey is neither colored nor chill-filtered.
