At first, this spirit seems mild, with its gentle amber color and mild, fruity scent. But whoah-this cask-strength Scotch is bold and intense. Smoky flavor thunders across the palate, drowning out a mild vanilla sweetness. Meanwhile, the alcohol is the lightning: It burns, even diluted it stings fiercely.
