Description
Since 1635, when Andrea Bottega began cultivating vines in the hills near Refrontolo, the Bottega family has continued to develop. After cultivating their own land, Aldo Bottega revolutionized grappa production by introducing the first single-varietal grappa. The Distilleria Bottega, which he founded in 1977, is now located in a renovated 17th century farmhouse in Bibano di Godega di Sant’Urbano, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards.
Grappa is one of the oldest and most traditional drinks in Italy and is produced as a pomace brandy from the residue of previously pressed grapes. Grappa Fume embodies this tradition and its appearance symbolizes the exquisite drop at the moment of its creation. Made from the elegant Glera grape, which also forms the basis for Prosecco, this grappa undergoes a three-stage distillation process.
Grappa Fume then matures for 12 months in oak barrels, which not only gives it its intense aromas but also its characteristic amber sheen.
