Description
Aromas of raspberries and violet. A harmonious woody quality for added complexity. Charming and fleshy for instant pleasure on the palate. This cuvée is for sure worth keeping and maturing. Welcome to Chambolle-Musigny! To pair with hind fillet.

The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Chatelots is one of the lower-octane wines in the cellar this year, wafting from the glass with cool fruit tones of raspberries, cherries, peonies and sweet spices. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping, with vibrant acids, melting tannins and a long, precise finish, this is an especially good cuvée this year and should perform very well with bottle age.

A perfumed, airy and very Chambollesque nose features a lovely range of spice nuances on the fruit that derives mostly from the red side of the spectrum. The lilting, energetic and silky texture middle weight flavors exude a subtle minerality on the dusty, refined and moderately firm finale. This is classic Chatelots. Drink: 2026+

Five little plots make up half a hectare averaging fifty year old vines, mostly straight on the rocks. Light fresh raspberry with a little torrefaction. Crisper finish, albeit still showing the oak though.
