Description
Complex, powerful aromas both spicy and fruity. Classic “Nuit” red consumes the whole palate.

This red is lush and saturated with black cherry, blackberry, earth and spice flavors. Well-marked by charred oak now, yet there is plenty of fruit. Burly tannins guard the finish. Best from 2024 through 2040. 396 cases made, 45 cases imported.

Revisited from bottle, the 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Damodes unwinds in the glass with a youthfully introverted bouquet of dark berry fruit, plums, spices and forest floor. Medium to full-bodied, deep and introverted, it’s nicely concentrated, with succulent acids and a youthfully chewy finish. Much as it was from barrel, this is one of the shier wines in the cellar.
