Opening in the glass with attractive aromas of sweet berry fruit, cherries and loamy soil, the 2019 Bourgogne Côte d’Or is medium to full-bodied, fleshy and concentrated, with lively acids, ripe tannins and a long, penetrating finish. This is a superb and uncommonly intensely flavored regional wine, and only a touch of reduction holds it back from another point-just as its Nomacorc closure compresses my suggested drinking window. This derives from holdings in Prémeaux on the border with the commune of Nuits-Saint-Georges.
