In January 2019, the chapter began with the storage of ten barrels from the CAMUS Caribbean Expedition Cognac program at the renowned Foursquare Distillery. After a year of ageing in the Caribbean heat, the cognac was shipped back to France, while the barrels themselves found a new destination: They were immediately filled with 12-year-old Foursquare Ex-Bourbon Cask Single Blended Rum. This second maturation period lasted a further two years to complete the double maturation process. The complexity of TOUCHSTONE was further deepened by marrying this rum with another 14-year-old rum, which was first matured for 5 years in an ex-bourbon cask and then for 9 years in an ex-cognac cask.
