Description
The fifth release in George Dickel’s Bottled in Bond series features whisky distilled in the spring of 2011 from Dickel’s standard mash bill of 84% corn, 8% rye, and 8% malted barley. The whisky was aged for twelve years and bottled after charcoal mellowing at 100 proof. The nose offers scents of stewed cherries, vanilla wafer, leather, and oak. The palate also begins with sweet cherry and vanilla before transitioning to macadamia nut and a touch of pepper. The finish is long with tobacco, leather, oak, and chocolate. Another excellent, high-value bottled in bond release from George Dickel.
