This one uses mizunara oak for maturation along with sherry and bourbon casks. Smol dering sandalwood, orange peel, and overall citrusy aromas on the nose. Lush on the palate with pleasant soapiness that yields to manuka honey, red currants, and lime. The finish is mid-length, with similar flavors cloaked in smoldering embers. Great flavors that are a bit stifled—perhaps too much emphasis on barrel variation as the flavor integration becomes a bit lost and overlooked.
