Description
Goya Tequila is a single estate tequila, which means that the agave plants come exclusively from a single small farm. The agaves are distilled on site.
The small farm is located in the middle of Mexico. Moist soils prevail there year-round, giving the plants a blue-green color. The agaves are then processed into a pure, crystal clear tequila.
The agaves are roasted for 130 hours in an old stone oven before being crushed. Fermentation requires 100 hours with natural yeasts. Distillation is done twice – once in a stainless steel tank and once in a 150-year-old copper tank.
The tequila was inspired by bartenders of Michelin-starred restaurants.
