Third-generation winemaker José Dhondt, whose grandfather immigrated from Belgium in 1924, has been managing the estate and making the wine since 1976. The 2015 Mes Vieilles Vignes is 100% Chardonnay from the grand cru of Les Crayéres (0.52 ha) in Oger in the Côte des Blancs, originally planted by José’s grandfather in 1949.

Tightly meshed and elegant, this exudes ripe fruit and floral aromas, with a racy streak of acidity wrapped in plush texture, supporting notes of juicy melon and white cherry fruit, chopped almond, tea rose and peach skin. Reveals an underpinning of salty minerality that lingers on the finish. Disgorged April 2023. Drink now through 2033. 200 cases made, 60 cases imported.
