Lillet Red Aperitif Wine

Description

An aperitif with a smooth and full-fruity taste with a more tannic mouthfeel. Ruby in appearance. The nose has notes of very ripe dark fruits. The mouth has a powerful bouquet of fresh orange, ripe berries, vanilla and delicate spices with a robust structure. The finish is full, with the supple tannins of ripe-picked fruit.

Initial whiffs detect ripe yet tart aromas of red grapes, raspberries and blackberries; time in the glass rounds off the bouquet, adding delicate hints of cinnamon and grape vines. Palate entry is clean, tart and properly fruity; midpalate is intensely grapy, juicy and savory. Finishes elegantly in a grape preserves-like manner. P.P.
