Description
The Louis Roederer Champagne Collection 245 is an elegant, multi-layered champagne that embodies the combination of tradition, innovation and sustainable viticulture at the highest level. It comes from the world-famous Louis Roederer champagne house, which has been family-owned since 1776 and is one of the last major independent producers in Champagne. The number 245 refers to the 245th harvest since the house was founded – a symbol of history, continuity and a respectful approach to nature.
The Collection 245 is based on the 2020 vintage, supplemented by carefully selected reserve wines from a “Reserve Perpetuelle” solera system that combines freshness and aromatic complexity. In addition, up to 10% reserve wines aged in oak are added to create depth and texture. The cuvee is made up of around 54% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 11% Meunier – a masterful blend that presents finesse, structure and fruit in perfect balance. The champagne matures on the lees for several years before being disgorged and given a moderate dosage.
