Description
The Maglock-Nagel winery is located in the picturesque Strassertal valley in the Krems-Land district of Lower Austria, surrounded by the renowned Wechselberg and Gaisberg vineyards. The geographical location allows for a diverse cultivation of different grape varieties, with the Gaisberg, Wechselberg and Hasel parcels providing an ideal basis for high-quality wines. Gruener Veltliner, Riesling, Fruehrote Veltliner (also known as Malvasier), Pinot Blanc, Zweigelt and St. Laurent grow here on an area of 15 hectares.
Now in its fifth generation, the Maglock-Nagel family devotes individual care to each vineyard, which gives each wine a distinctive character despite the proximity of the vineyards. The pursuit of quality is reflected in the careful handling of each grape variety in order to fully develop the specific characteristics and potential of the terroir.
Maglock-Nagel Fruehroter Veltliner is a pure white wine made from 100% Fruehroter Veltliner grown on loess and clay soils. The fully ripe grapes are harvested by hand and then fermented in steel tanks. After fermentation and an appropriate maturation period, the wine is bottled and sealed with a screw cap.
