Pimms is a high-quality mixed spirit with a fresh, fruity character. The base of London Dry Gin and a mix of liqueurs, fruit nectars and herbs give it its excellent taste.
It is a cocktail classic that should not be missing from any menu.
Usually you drink Pimm`s with ginger ale, Sprite or Seven Up and garnish with half a slice of lemon and cucumber.
Pimms was considered a quirky drink for a long time because it was drunk in a silver mug, or a small pitcher and decorated with cucumbers and apple slices. The mugs are now no longer made, but the cucumber remains. Pimms is a slightly spicy gin-based liqueur that is always drunk mixed. Hardly alcoholic, since yes the liqueur is only 25% and still mixed. A refreshing friendly drink and very drinkable. Still drunk in England at rowing regattas or at Wimbledon. It was there that the idea of sinking strawberries in Pimms liqueur came up. The real drinker, on the other hand, can only be convinced by Pimm’s if a strong shot of gin is added. (e.g. Hendricks Gin).
