Description
The name Kawama is based on the Caguama turtle, a symbol historically regarded by local tribes as the mother of mankind. This Cuban rum Kawama honors the heritage and symbolic meaning of the Caribbean turtle and delights connoisseurs worldwide with its unique spirit.
Kawama 13 Extra Anejo may still be considered an insider’s tip in some circles, but its quality and sophistication position it as a serious contender on the international market. Behind this exquisite Cuban rum is the masterful craftsmanship of Cesar Augusto Marti Marcelo, an experienced maestro ronero from Ronera Cardena, who applies his extensive expertise and flair to the production process.
This fine rum is made from molasses, obtained from sugar cane, in a continuous distillation process in a column still. A special feature of Kawama Rum Extra Anejo is its composition as a blend, which combines distillates matured for different lengths of time, with some batches aged for up to 13 years in American white oak barrels in a tropical climate.
Bottled without any added sugar, Kawama Rum 13 Extra Anejo is characterized by a comparatively low alcohol content and an elegant presentation.
