Description
The history of the SeRum goes way back to the 19th century. At that time, the Panama Canal was built. Due to the harsh working conditions and the outbreak of the disease malaria, many Cubans and people living in the Caribbean died.
Cuban women added pickled dried fruits and spices to their old Panamanian spirits to make a kind of energy drink that would give men strength.
Later, these spirits were also administered for snakebites and malaria, because a healing effect was believed; hence the name ‘SeRum’.
SeRum Mamie consists of a blend of Panamanian rums that develop flavors such as cocoa, vanilla and coffee.
