The 30-year-old Macallan is part of Macallan’s Double Cask Range. The range includes a 12-year-old, a 15-year-old, an 18-year-old and now a 30-year-old single malt.
The Macallan 30 Years Old Double Cask is a perfectly balanced single malt, which matured for 30 years in American and European oak sherry casks, giving it its unique flavor and outstanding character. The Double Cask range reflects the story of an incredible journey through the forests of northern Spain, the French Pyrenees and the lush forests of Ohio, Missouri and Kentucky. Renowned photographer and artist Erik Madigan Heck drew inspiration from this exquisite Macallan, as well as the glory of Scotland’s landscape, to create a still life. The golden, natural color of the whiskey is the focal point of the image. The soft caramel and brown tones once again emphasize the depth of flavor of the single malt.
