Description
The signature drink of the island of Martinique, made with their beloved Rhum Agricole (cane juice rum), this represents one of the Caribbean’s great drinking traditions. Made up of a hefty measure of Rhum alongside a bit of sugar cane syrup and the tiniest pinch of lime, it drinks as somewhere in between a kind of lush, tropical old fashioned and a sophisticated, spirit forward daiquiri. Traditionally consumed at room temperature to savor every last bit of the grassy, aromatic rum, we think it’s also pretty stellar served over a large ice cube, not unlike an old fashioned.
