In 320 AD, a seaworthy war rowing boat was sacrificed in Nydam Moor, in southern Jutland, Denmark.
This 1700 year old and over 20 m long Nydam boat was found in 1863 in the bog of the same name, Nydam Moor.
It is celebrated as a masterpiece of shipbuilding and the cornerstone of the Vikings’ legendary voyages of discovery.
